Mr. Choki Dorji

1

What do you think is movie making?
Movie making is ones passion I would say. Movie making does justice to world of imagination. Movie making is dustbin for creativity people.

What kind of movie do you watch?
Comedy movie treats me best. Apart from that i love watching science fiction movie.

What do you say about movie making in other parts of the world, about their uniqueness?
I would take the simple example of Hollywood. Hollywood and other film industry of rest of world have achieved a lot. Every day we get to see something new in them. Be it in technical ways, story line everything. In fact they change with time and they change with perfection. So for now they are miles ahead. Love watching them always.

Do you see any ways of feasibility of GNH philosophy in our movie making?
Yes i do. What is GNH actually? For me, I believe GNH is staying happy always. Film industry in our country has proven to be platform for entertainment. Family, friends, couples, they enjoy watching movies together during weekends. Film industry is one place where it unites the people of different region with different background. GNH is unity and happiness for me.

Creating a unique style of movie making style in our country?
Our country itself is unique for the outer world. Geographically, traditionally, on cultural bases and so on. Making movie in Bhutan is definitely going to be unique.

What kind of movie you wish to make if you are a film maker?
Lots of thoughts are there in my mine but i can’t exactly say "that kind of movie i want to make” at present.

What are your suggestions for the filmmakers of our country?
No suggestion rather i would love to give appreciation for building a film industry from grass root level to growing stage and supporting youth always.  Thank you.
